Mission

The Mission of First Baptist Church is for us to be

1. Loving God: Our greatest goal is for our lives to line up the with the truth of 1 Corinthians 10:31, which says “So whether you eat, drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” We gather as a church to joyfully worship God, which propels us to go out in the world to do the same.

2. Making Disciples: In this we are seeking to obey Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19 to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” Our desire is to see people in our community and around the world come to know and follow Jesus.

3. Serving Others: Galatians 5:13 says that we are to “..through love serve one another.” In obeying this, we hope to meet each other’s needs in a way that shows the love of Jesus, who met our greatest need of forgiveness of sins.
