First Baptist Church

Mission

The Mission of First Baptist Church is for us to be

Loving God

Our greatest goal is for our lives to line up with the truth of 1 Corinthians 10:31, which says “So whether you eat, drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” We gather as a church to joyfully worship God, which propels us to go out in the world to do the same.

Making Disciples

In this we are seeking to obey Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19 to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” Our desire is to see people in our community and around the world come to know and follow Jesus.

Serving Others

Galatians 5:13 says that we are to “…through love serve one another.” In obeying this, we hope to meet each other’s needs in a way that shows the love of Jesus, who met our greatest need of forgiveness of sins.
